• Location Information: We access precise and coarse GPS location data while the app is active in the foreground. This data is used solely to determine your current position, display real-time navigation routes, calculate trip distance and travel time, estimate fuel consumption, and discover nearby amenities (such as Fuel, EV Charging, Food, Parking, and Hospitals). Your real-time location data is processed on-device and is never stored on external servers or sold to third parties.
• Device Identifiers & Technical Data: Non-personally identifiable diagnostic, performance, and crash analytics data may be collected automatically by trusted third-party SDKs (such as Firebase Crashlytics) to ensure app stability and identify technical issues.

2. Third-Party Services & Advertising

ShortMaps utilizes trusted third-party service providers that process necessary data in accordance with their respective privacy policies:

• Google Maps Platform (SDK & Places API): Powers map rendering, route calculation, and nearby point-of-interest discovery.
• Google AdMob: Displays banner and interstitial advertisements. On iOS devices, we present Apple's standard App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before displaying personalized advertisements, respecting your choice if you opt out.
• Firebase (Google LLC): Used for secure backend infrastructure, anonymous crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and app reliability diagnostics.

3. Data Retention and Security

We respect your privacy. ShortMaps does not require mandatory account registration or personal profiling to access core navigation and trip planning features. All location tracking is ephemeral (temporary during active use) and is not persisted once navigation concludes.

Our application is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.
